On Saturday 18 April 2020 Guitarist Rat and singer Jonn from Stourbridge indie-rock heroes Ned’s Atomic Dustbin will headline HopStock, a brand-new event at The Rustic on Hopley’s Family Camping site, as Ned’s Acoustic Dustbin. April 2020 sees the 30th anniversary of Ned’s first release ‘The Ingredients EP’ which included ‘Grey Cell Green’ a fans favourite that went on to convert listeners across the globe, especially in the US, to the unique sound of the band. To kick off celebrations of the anniversary they will be playing the band’s much-loved indie anthems as acoustic interpretations for fans to sing along to in a rare intimate setting. Rat and Jonn hope to swell the crowd at the all-day event where a full bill of eclectic, but mostly unplugged music will play out both indoors and out until late with a full day and evening of artists soon to be announced. Further announcements about more celebrations at The Rustic on Friday 17 April will emerge very soon too.
Jonn Penney from Ned’s Atomic Dustbin says “We’re chuffed to be part of a new happening at The Rustic – it’s a great venue and, rain or shine next April, we’ll play our little hearts out for all those fine people of Bewdley and afar who fancy inspecting our acoustic thing up close and personal! It will be a great bill of all sorts of quality music. Mine’s a margherita, veggie burger and a swig of good ale if anyone is asking – see you there!”
